TRAVEL1: Mulberry Bend Overlook
MyWhiteTV. TRAVELOGUE 1: Mulberry Bend Overlook. Nebraska, jUSA.
Join me above the Missouri River — where it’s the border between Nebraska and South Dakota — as I begin a travel series meant to show the reality of this area in which I live. The natural setting. The unnatural developments.
This time, the Missouri River inspires talk of the Lewis & Clark Expedition that passed this spot — twice. Also, I share personal experiences and other knowledge of the area, including a minor attraction where the Indians were spooked, called Spirit Mound.
Signed,
Jim Laffrey

This makes me want to read about the Lewis and Clark Expedition.
Glad to hear it, Doug.
Very informative. Got me wanting to trek up that river and see all the viewpoints. That expedition you were talking about got me wanting to know more about the history of the area. That part of jusa looks beautiful and not a n or j to spoil these shots. Wow. 😉
Thank you, sir, and welcome to commenting on MyWhiteTv.
(For other readers, “not a n or j” is surely “not a nigger or jew”.)
My recent “Travelogue” series has three parts, thus far. You might like the other parts, too. One more part is planned: a tour of Vermillion, this town I have lived in for four years.
Thanks jbl
I enjoyed this first part and making me have a wee peek at history and to realise how extraordinary it was the journey and that they all made it back apart from one that died from appendicitis. The one shot in the butt mistaken to be a buffalo was the only injury has to be lucky as the dirty skins all around scalping the whites for trophy’s.
This spiritual mound that had them captivated into visiting there as they had believed the stories of small spirits with big heads that were evil.
To me this only lays evidence of the early contamination the dirty people try to bend the will of the white mans minds with their poisoned stories of evil spirits.
A distraction or a red herring maybe. No good intention intended.
The river bed how it’s changed but the mound has stayed so concrete proof.
Thanks for this jbl as it’s been very informative reading about Lewis and Clarke expedition. I’m looking forward to part 2. 😉
Hi everyone I’m mr wh1te. Proud to be white.
And thanks to you jbl for the truth.
Knowledge is only knowledge when shared.
You’re welcome, sir. And thank you for this admirable comment.
